Kodaikanal is a town in the hills of the taluk division of the Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Kodaikanal is referred to as the “Princess of Hill stations” and has an extended history as a move away and popular tourist objective. It’s a lot cooler in hotness than lower height cities such as Chennai.
Kodaikanal was recognized in 1845 as a safe haven from the high temperatures and tropical diseases of the plains. A large amount of the local financial system is based on the hospitality industry serving tourism.
It is not recognized who first used this name or what they planned it to mean. The word Kodaikanal is formed from the two Tamil words Kodai and Kanal. Kanal means seeing and Kodai means summer. Thus, Kodai Kanal means it is as good as getting water in desert for summer heat.
